Chinese Sacred Buddha’s Tooth Relic travelled to Mandalay on its last leg of the journey to Myanmar yesterday(December 8, 2011).

It was seen off by Chief Minister of Yangon Region and Chinese Ambassador Li Junhua at Yangon International Airport and was welcomed ceremoniously at the Mandalay International Airport by hundreds of devotees led by Chief Minister of Mandalay Region. The Tooth Relic was conveyed from to the Maha Atula Wai Yan A Tumashi monastery by decorated floats and by a royal white elephant on the last leg. The Tooth Relic will stay at the Maha Atula Wai Yan Atumashi Monastery until December 23 before flying back to Beijing.
