Q: Recently, three ethnic armed organizations in Northern Myanmar launched armed attacks against the Myanmar armed forces which have brought about casualties. What is your comment?

A: The armed attacks have brought about casualties and had a negative effect on the peace and stability in Northern Myanmar. China firmly opposes the attacks. China attaches great importance to the peace and tranquility in China-Myanmar border area, and resolutely supports Myanmar peace process. Ceasefire should continue and peace in Northern Myanmar be maintained. China has and will continue to play a constructive role in this regard.
