Ambassador Guan Mu Met With Chinese Young Volunteers Service Team to Myanmar

On 11 July, Ambassador Guan Mu granted a cordial audience with Chinese Young Volunteers Service Team to Myanmar. 15 volunteers have satisfactorily finished their service with duration of half a year and will leave for China on 12 July.

   Ambassador said that, the younger volunteers kept the entrustment of the nation and people in their hearts with the volunteer spirit of Dedication, Friendship, Mutual Aid and Progress. They conquered different difficulties and worked hard to make a perfect ending the service, which earned the high appraisement from the Myanmar side and good reputation for the contingent of Chinese Young Volunteers. They made contributions to Sino-Myanmar friendship. Ambassador also said, "The leaders of the domestic departments concerned have showed their solicitude for you all along. The Embassy is also concerning with you constantly. Today is the Triumphal Day for you. Here I render my congratulations for your successful completion and my sincere respect for your dedicative spirit."

 

   The volunteers said that they have received ardent concerning and support during their service. They tried their best to overcome the language obstacle, cooperated with the Myanmar colleagues and propagated Chinese advanced technology and experience of management in order to promote the Sino-Myanmar friendship and exhibit Chinese youngsters' elegant demeanor.

   Entrusted by Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Young Volunteers Service Team to Myanmar selected by Guangdong Young Volunteers Association came to Myanmar on 16 Jan.2006, 14 of them were from Guangdong Province and 1 of them was from Xinjiang. Their maid tasks were to give aid to Myanmar on agriculture technology and sports training. Their term of service was half a year.
