Ambassador firstly introduced the Drug Control work in China in the past few years. He said that, Chinese Government attached great importance to the Drug Control cause. At present, China is launching a People's War against Drugs by reinforcing the propaganda and preventive measures, as well as cracking down on the drug crimes. In the meantime China lays store by actively participating international cooperation and has signed agreements on Drug Control with over ten countries. Chinese Government pays high attention to cooperate with Myanmar Government in Drug Control and has increased the aid to Drug Control project in Myanmar, for example, the alternative development program has achieved obvious effect. Besides, the police of both countries have also taken joint action in drug enforcement and captured a batch of drug lords. Ambassador expressed his will to strengthen the contact and coordination between UNODC Office in Myanmar and Chinese Embassy.
