On the evening of 6 February, Ambassador Li Jinjun held Spring Festival Reception ceremoniously in Traders Hotel, Yangon. Myanmar Government and military officials were invited to the reception, such as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, vice minister of Information as well as Vice Adjutant General, Chief of Staff Navy and Colonel General Staff (Air). Representatives from Chinese enterprises, Chinese students, teachers and the overseas Chinese from 16 main societies in Yangon were also present.

At the reception, Ambassador Li Jinjun presented his New Year address. He reviewed the modernization development of motherland last year, praised the great achievements in Myanmar overseas Chinese society activities and Chinese language education. He said, "The powerfulness and prosperity are the greatest encouragements to the Myanmar Chinese. Now it is the best period of China-Myanmar Relations, which is favorably for the living condition and development of Myanmar Chinese. I hope the Myanmar Chinese could coexist peacefully with the Myanmar people and do more contributions to the booming of the Myanmar economy as well as to the China-Myanmar friendship".

At this reception the attendants paid New Year calls to each other cheerfully. The Lion Dancing Team and Guangdong Music Group were also invited to add to the fun, which made the whole reception flow a joyful and auspicious atmosphere.
