Ambassador Li Jinjun is donating to Dr. Kyaw Win, President of Myanmar Red Cross Society.

On 31 Dec. 2004, Ambassador went to Myanmar Red Cross Society and donated $USD 20,000 on behalf of China Red Cross Society to Myanmar Red Cross Society, expressing the deep-felt condolence. Received the donation, President of Myanmar Red Across Society Dr. Kyaw Win indicated that, compared with neighborly countries, Myanmar suffered the disaster of a lower degree, but it has caused some casualties and building collapse in Gaodang in south of Myanmar-Thailand border area. At present, Myanmar authorities concerned including Myanmar Red Across Society are carrying out the aid work for the disaster. $USD 20,000 provided by China Red Cross Society will be helpful to the recovery of the productive and living order as well as the reconstruction in the disaster-stricken area. President Kyaw Win represented Myanmar Government and Red Cross Society to express their sincere appreciation to China Red Cross Society.
