New year brings a completely new look to everything. Thus on the first day of the New Year, the Chinese Embassy holds the Completion Ceremony for its new gate, showing that the Embassy to face the new year with brand new looks. Mayor of Yangon Brig-Gen. Aung Thein Lynn, Ambassadors or Charge d'Affairs of all other foreign Embassies in Yangon, chiefs of different Chinese Communities and representatives from the Chinese enterprises attended the ceremony. Many local people also gathered for watching. Counselor Yu Boren of the Embassy hosted the ceremony, formally announced the opening and introduced the process of the construction. Ambassador Li Jinjun then awarded a present to the Myanmar Jinshan International Construction Co. Ltd., which built the gate, and cut the ribbon for celebrations together with Mayor Brig-Gen. Aung Thein Lynn, Counselor Yu Boren and Mr. Li Songzhi (U Aik Tun, President of the construction unit). The ceremony was filled with joyful excitement when lion dance went together with the sounding of gongs and drums. The guests then toured around the fountain garden in the Embassy. They expressed congratulations and praised the gate being unique and with special style. |
