Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker arrives back as he concludes visit to People's Republic of China

A delegation led by Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than arrived back in Yangon yesterday after visiting China.

They were greeted at Yangon International Airport by Yangon Region Hluttaw Speaker U Tin Maung Tun, Deputy Speaker U Lin Naing Myint, Ambassador of China to Myanmar Mr. Hong Liang, and officials from the Hluttaw office.

Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than visited the China-Myanmar friendship tree planted in Mangshi, Dehong Prefecture, People’s Republic of China, on 28 June and exchanged gifts with officials.

Later, the Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker and delegation attended a luncheon hosted by Mr. Wang Junqiang, secretary of the Communist Party of China Dehong Prefecture, at the Mangshi Hotel, Mangshi.

Also, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than visited Dehong teachers’ training school and a paper cutting art exhibition, and took commemorative group photos with officials who guided them.

Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker left Kunming International Airport for Myanmar yesterday morning and were seen off by member of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Dan Zhu Aug Ben, Yunnan Provincial People’s Congress Vice Chairman Mr. Li Pei and officials, along with Myanmar Ambassador to China U Thit Lin Ohn, Kunming-based Myanmar Consul-General U Soe Paing and officials.
