First Batch of Humanitarian Supplies Donated by the Chinese Government to Myanmar in Response to the Cyclone Delivered

On June 12, the first batch of humanitarian supplies donated by the Chinese Government to Myanmar in response to the Cyclone Mocha arrived in Yangon International Airport. Soe Thein, Chief Minister of Yangon Region, China's Ambassador  H.E Chen Hai and Counselor Ouyang Daobing received the supplies at the airport. 

Super Cyclone Mocha has had a serious impact on Rakhine State and other places in Myanmar, and therefore the Chinese Government has provided emergency humanitarian aid to meet the needs of Myanmar. The first batch of humanitarian supplies donated to Myanmar include 10,000 mosquito nets and 10,000 blankets. The follow-up aids from China, including water purification tablets, food, portable generators and water pumps, will be transported by sea very soon. In addition, the Chinese government will also donate RMB 1 million in cash to Myanmar for the restoration of pagodas damaged by the cyclone disaster in Bagan region. The above mentioned aids from China represents the humanitarian assistance to Myanmar and the spirit of China-Myanmar community with a shared future which shares weal and woe.
