A warm welcome to the website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Located in the west of the Indochina Peninsula, Myanmar is linked with China by common mountains and rivers, sharing a border of more than 2100km. The two peoples have enjoyed amicable contact and good-neighborly relationship since very ancient times, which is known as "Paukphaw (full brothers) Friendship." Since the establishment of diplomatic ties, the bilateral relationship between China and Myanmar has developed steadily as is witnessed by fruitful exchanges and cooperations in all areas. Entering into the new century, the two countries maintained frequent high-level exchanges, and friendly cooperations in areas such as politics, economics, culture, science were promoted comprehensively. Under the new historical circumstances, the two countries established a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership in June 2011, which opened a new chapter of the bilateral relationship. We firmly believe that, with the joint efforts of the two countries and the two peoples, the traditional Paukphaw Friendship will be enhanced and glorified, and the China-Myanmar Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership will be brought to a new high in future.
