Visa for Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR of China
Myanmar citizen
1. Myanmar citizens holding valid Myanmar diplomatic or official passports could travel to Hong Kong SAR visa-free for a short visit and stay in Hong Kong SAR for no more than 14 days.
2. Myanmar citizens holding valid ordinary passports should obtain a visa to go to Hong Kong SAR. Those holding valid Myanmar diplomatic passports who are going to assume the duty at the Consulate-General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Hong Kong SAR should obtain a visa. The Chinese Embassy and Consulate-General in Myanmar could issue visa to diplomats, visitors, seafarers and those who intend to transit through Hong Kong SAR. If the purpose of visit is to work, study, establish or join in any business or to take up residence in the Hong Kong SAR, please apply directly to the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
3. How to apply for a Hong Kong SAR visa:
3.1. For those who are required a visa to Hong Kong SAR, the applicants can either apply the visa directly to the Immigration Department of Hong Kong SAR Government, or apply to the Chinese Embassy and Consulate-General in Myanmar without appointment.
3.2. Documents required to apply Hong Kong SAR visa at the Chinese Embassy and Consulate-General in Myanmar:
(a) Application form which can be downloaded online (immd.gov.hk/pdforms/ID1003A.pdf) or acquired from Chinese Embassy and Consulate-General, and two recently-taken color photo against a white background of 2 inches (size: 48mm×33mm) without a crown.
(b) Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and 3 blank visa pages, and photocopy of the information page, observations page, the previous Hong Kong SAR visa page;
(c) Original ID card and photocopy of both sides;
(d) Supplementary documents supporting the purpose of the visit:

HCS | Issued to seafarers who intend to board in Hong Kong SAR of China | 1.Original and copies of SD, CDC, SID. 2.Guarantee letter issued by the owner of the vessel to board. 3.Recommendation letter issued by the crew’ employer. |
HTS | Issued to those who intend to transit through Hong Kong SAR of China | An onward air (or ship) ticket. |
3.3. Processing Time:
Visa issued within the authority of the Embassy and Consulate-General, the processing time is 4 working days (normal), 3 working days (express).
3.4. Fees and payments:
If visa issued within the authority of the Embassy and Consulate-General, visa fee is $30 US dollars. If you need to expedite the processing, you will need to pay an additional $25 US dollars express fee.
4. Myanmar citizens can apply for an “Entry Permit” (aka “Visa-upon-arrival”) at any of the border checkpoints of the Border Control Department of the Public Security Police upon arrival at Macao SAR.
